The journey began with one man who believed deeply in the power of resilience: Goldsun Mhizha, the founder of Boldstance®.
Goldsun didn’t grow up with privilege or luxury. His path was shaped by grit, discipline, and an unwavering belief in himself. From an early age, he learned that courage isn’t about being fearless; it’s about moving forward in the face of fear.
Those lessons were put to the test during his 12 years of service in the British Army, where he came to understand what true strength looks like. It’s not just about physical endurance, but also mental toughness, emotional resilience, and the ability to work as part of a team.
The battlefield taught him leadership. The university classroom taught him how to build. But it was his life experiences, the challenges he faced, the limits he pushed, and the dreams he refused to give up, that inspired him to create something greater than himself.
Before Boldstance® became a brand, it was just an idea.
In 2016, during late nights after drills and early mornings on patrol, Goldsun sketched the very first version of what would eventually become the Boldstance® logo.
It wasn’t a product yet. It wasn’t even a company. It was a belief taking shape in the form of a rough pencil drawing of a triangle with an arrow inside, pointing forward.
Above the drawing, he wrote “Boldstance.”
Below it, he wrote “Stride.”
That sketch became more than just a logo. It was a declaration. A promise of what was to come.
At the heart of Boldstance® lies our iconic emblem — The Stride .

From Vision to Product – 2022
After earning an Honours degree in Business Management and Enterprise at Staffordshire University, Goldsun launched Boldstance® not just as a brand, but as a movement.
He wanted to give athletes everywhere the tools they needed to face their fears, push their limits, and rise above the noise.
So in 2022, we introduced our first performance running shoe: the Zitanos 2.0.
Built for purpose. Designed for progress. Engineered to last.
Every detail, from the sole to the stitching, was crafted to help you move forward, faster.
And right there on the heel is the same original logo Goldsun drew back in 2016.
